Cycling in Kuala Lumpur: A Diverse & Rewarding Experience

Cycling in Kuala Lumpur offers one of the most diverse and rewarding riding experiences in Malaysia. From its vibrant city centre to lush suburban hillsides, KL provides an exciting mix of urban energy and natural beauty — all within a single ride.

Cyclists can enjoy quiet morning climbs through Federal Hill, winding residential routes in Bukit Damansara, the grand and scenic roads surrounding Istana Negara, the cool and serene stretches of Bukit Tunku, and finally the breathtaking arrival into KLCC, home to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

With its balance of gradients, views, and smooth tarmac, Kuala Lumpur has become a must-ride destination for cyclists who crave both challenge and scenery. And with coffee stops, food culture, and vibrant communities around every corner, riding in KL is as much about discovery as it is about endurance.

The Helios X Rodalink: Pedal Weekend Series Ride

On Sunday, 16th November 2025, Rodalink proudly hosted the Helios X Rodalink: Pedal Weekend Series, a community ride that captured the true spirit of road cycling in Kuala Lumpur.

Nearly 40 passionate riders gathered early at Rodalink Bangsar before setting off on a scenic and energetic 38KM route. The ride brought participants through KL’s signature cycling landmarks — from the leafy climbs of Federal Hill, rolling terrain at Bukit Damansara, and majestic roads around Istana Negara, to the peaceful loops of Bukit Tunku, eventually leading towards the stunning KLCC skyline.

A special highlight of the event was the King of Mountain (KOM) Challenge at Bukit Tunku, where riders pushed their limits on one of KL’s most iconic climbs. The segment tested stamina, pacing, and pure determination — adding an extra layer of excitement and achievement to the morning’s route.

In total, the ride accumulated 580m of elevation, delivering the perfect mix of challenge, rhythm, and satisfaction. It was not only a test of strength and endurance but also a celebration of teamwork, resilience, and the shared joy of riding together.

Introducing the New Helios A Road Bike Series to Klang Valley Riders

The event also served as an ideal platform to introduce the new Helios A road bike Series to the Klang Valley cycling community. Riders had the exclusive chance to test the latest road bike models during the ride and experience the precision, speed, and refined engineering that define the Helios road bike lineup.

The newest evolution of the Helios A road bike Series — currently used by Asia’s top-ranked Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) — features a redesigned ACX carbon frame that sheds almost 150 grams without compromising performance.

The bottom bracket has been reinforced and upgraded to a T47 threaded system for stronger stiffness, smoother power delivery, and a creak-free interface. Paired with a newly refined fork, the latest Helios A road bike cuts through the air more efficiently than ever, making it a favourite among competitive and endurance cyclists.

Wrapping Up With Community, Laughter & Lucky Draws

To wrap up the morning on a high note, riders enjoyed a friendly post-ride gathering along with a special lucky draw, featuring premium helmets and cycling items. Conversations, laughter, and shared experiences filled the atmosphere — a true reflection of the community spirit that Rodalink aims to nurture.

More than just a ride, it was a morning filled with passion, connection, and the collective love of cycling — the very essence of what Rodalink stands for.
