SINGAPORE, 12 June 2025 — What does it feel like to ride a road bike co-developed with the best Asian UCI Continental team?
Riders from various communities gathered at PPP Coffee New Bahru for an exclusive first look at the new Polygon Helios A road bike Series, marking this road bike’s debut appearance in Singapore after a global launch on 28 May 2025.
Winning Pedigree: Co-Developed with Asia’s Top Pros
The new Helios A isn’t just another performance road bike—it’s the result of a 3-year collaboration with Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG), Malaysia’s UCI Continental powerhouse known for its dominance on the regional stage.
Designed based on real-world feedback from professional athletes, the Helios A road bike platform has already secured 187 podium finishes last season, and 37 podiums with the latest version alone, proving its competitive edge.
What’s New: Advanced Engineering in Every Detail
Compared to its predecessor, the updated Helios A road bike brings significant upgrades across multiple aspects: weight reduction, aerodynamics, stiffness, comfort, and versatility.
- The redesigned ACX carbon frame and fork trim 150 grams off the overall weight.
- A shortened and reinforced head tube improves cornering stiffness, especially during sprints.
- A T47 threaded bottom bracket ensures more efficient power transfer.
- Dual-position bottle cage mounts on the downtube reduce air drag for different bottle sizes.
- A newly sculpted curved fork enhances airflow and reduces turbulence.
- The bike now supports both aero and round 27.2mm seatposts and accommodates tire widths from 28c to 34c, allowing riders to adapt to various terrains and conditions.
Riders React: First Impressions from the Test Ride
The event wrapped with a short test ride, giving invited riders the chance to experience the new Helios for themselves.
Riyadh Hakim, Singapore National Athlete, said:
“The first feeling of the bike is amazing. It feels super responsive—more than the previous one.”
Arfan Faisal, Singapore National Athlete shared:
“It’s definitely an improvement. The Helios is more stable and nimble through the corners. It’s great for sprinting—you can really push it.”
Don, a community rider, added:
“It’s super comfortable, and I really like the handlebar—it lets you rest your arms easily in an aero position.”
